What is the Virtual Agronomist? How do I get to the Virtual Agronomist? The Key Example

What is the Virtual Agronomist?

We've developed the Virtual Agronomist to help you analyze each of your fields with ease.  When you run the Virtual Agronomist on your field, it will analyze the soil nutrients included in the most recent soil test and produce you a map showing areas of your field that need specific targets to improve your yields.  The system will look through your nutrients in the order that they should be addressed to maximize your yield (ie pH Balance before Boron, or Soil P before Sulfur)

How do I get to the Virtual Agronomist?

On any of your soil layers in Operations Center, you access the Formula Library by selecting the “Create Formula Rx” button on the bottom menu

Once in the Formula Library, you will see a formula group named “00 Virtual Agronomist”

Click the Create Rx for 1 Formula button and the Virtual Agronomist will move into action.  Once complete, you will see a Soil Management Unit layer available in your Operations Center to easily re-visit this Virtual Agronomist Layer.  The Layer should also auto-run when your soil data comes in.

Example

This example shows a field that has 24.92% of it needing pH adjustment, 46.12% of the field needing additional Phosphorus, 6.85% with the Zinc to Phosphorus ratio out of balance, 9.87% of the field is low on Potassium, 4.61% is low on Sulfur, and 7.62% has a Boron to Calcium ratio that is out of balance.
