What it's used for:

Map is the most commonly used portion of Operations Center.  Within map, you can monitor your equipment, analyze your field data, compare or overlay maps next to or on top of each other and much more!

Field Data

Field(s) Menu

When Fields is selected on the Left Menu, you'll see all of your fields listed with any fields that have JD Link enabled machinery showing up as Active Fields, and the remainder of your fields showing as Inactive Fields.  You're also able to toggle the value shown next to the field between Rainfall readings (today, last 24 hours, yesterday, or season) or each field's area.  (This is only available if the fields have field boundaries.)

Field Layers

By selecting the Layers icon, you will open up that field's layers.  These will include Planting, Application, Harvest, and Tillage maps.  VRAFY contributed layers will also show up in this field layers section.  Just click on this icon to pull up the layers.

When you select layers, the most recent work layer will automatically load on your screen.  This will not automatically load any VRAFY contributed layers, only the Seeding, Application, Harvest, or Tillage maps.

  1. You can change layers by selecting the layer in the top menu.  This will allow you to navigate from an application map to your seeding map or others available.
  2. Your legend will indicate what the colors on the map mean.  in this example you see the majority of the field is the light and dark yellow colors
  3. Within the bottom menu, you can analyze the data deeper.  This will show you the total applied rates, total area covered, time spent during the application, products and equipment used within the application, and other information depending on what layer is pulled up.

Compare Tool

Want to compare your planting varieties against a yield map?  Or even your Soil pH next to your yield data? Try the Compare tool in the Top menu.  If you want the layers 1 over the other, you can use the Overlay tool.

Once the Compare tool is selected, just chose the second layer that you would like to analyze.  Then both layers should be loaded up on the map.

You can then select the Data Analysis tab on the bottom menu to compare areas in the field with ease!

Note: VRAFY layers are not compatible with the Data Analysis menu tool.

Equipment

If you select Equipment from the top toolbar, you will see your equipment list populate where the field list was prior.  Active equipment will come to the top of the list, while inactive or non-JDLink enabled machinery will show below in Inactive Equipment.

The following only applicable to equipment that is JD Link enabled.

By either clicking on a piece of equipment on the menu, or clicking on the machine shown on the map you will see a menu load for that machine on the Left side of your screen.  Within this menu, you will see metrics for machine utilization, fuel performance, alerts from the machine.  You can also click on the Setup option in the menu to see what display and GPS receivers are connected to the machine along with the software version that these are on.

You may also notice the RDA button near the top.  This button gives you Remote Display Access, or the ability to see what is on the display from either your computer, or from your phone using Operations Center Mobile.
